SPAIN - MALLORCA
YEAR ROUND SEASONALITY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
MALLORCA, BALEARIC ISLANDS
The biggest and most populated island of the Balaric archipelago, Mallorca can also be considered the main Watersports playground with constant thermal winds in the summer. Its capital Palma de Mallorca, famous for its vibrant night life, hosts major Latin dance and Tango festivals every year. The climate is mild also during the winter, when stronger winds can be sailed by advanced riders.
The island can be reached with direct flights from most of the major cities in Europe.
The main Kite and Wingfoiling spots are located in the North of the island, just 40 minutes away from the airport.
ALCUDIA AND THE BAY OF POLLENSA
The light but steady thermal winds that bless the bay of Pollença make Alcudia a great spot for learning Kitesurfing. Wingfoiling has also been gaining in popularity in this spot, thanks to the favorable conditions with shallow and calm waters.
Alcudia sits between the Bay of Pollença in the north, and the Bay of Alcudia in the south, where its port is located.
The Bay of Pollença can be reached easily within 10 minutes by Alcudia and Pollença. The constant thermal winds during the summer, hit the bay side onshore, making it a very safe spot to learn watersports.
